Job Coaching

What is Job Coaching?

Job coaching often refers to the training and support of a student by an trained special education provider.

Our amazingly talented and creative job coach, uses structured intervention techniques to help our students learn to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications. The job coach also teaches our students the necessary and interpersonal skills needed at the work site.

In addition to job-site training, job coaching includes related assessment, job development, counseling, advocacy, travel training and other services needed to maintain the employment.

What are the Benefits of Job Coaching?

Through job coaching, our students learn the specific requirements of the job site. Our students learn about work-related activities and requirements such as time and attendance expectations. In addition  our students learn appropriate work-related (including social) behaviors when dealing with supervisors and co-workers.
